Accommodation

If you have not already made arrangements for accommodation, we help you in either of two ways.

1. If you will be here in Oxford for six weeks or more, we will often arrange for you to live in an international residence in the centre of Oxford called Commonwealth House, which is comprised mainly of other secondary school students, Oxford University students and researchers, and others.

This residence is well known for its strong sense of community. Contact us for more details.

2. Or if you prefer, we will arrange for a host family to take you into their home.

If you are an international student, this makes it possible for you to experience British life from the inside, instead of looking at it from the outside. Also, this is the best way to improve your English, because you will have to converse with your host family in English in many different types of situations every day.

It is also very likely that your host family will become good friends of yours as you come to know them. And very often, you will find that one or two other international students are living in the same home, and it is very likely that you will develop a friendship with them as well.

3. If you will be here for just a short time, we will advise you on hotels in Oxford which will be ideal for you. There are a number of hotels here in the city centre of a very high standard and only a short walk away from the locations of your tutorials, such as the Randolph Hotel and the Quod.
